On August 1, 2015 I was honored to host the family and friends of Benjo Haller, who had perished a year earlier in these seas from Shallow Water Blackout. We spent a day living like Benjo in his memory. The family has established a charitable foundation to spread awareness of this danger, reduce drownings from it, and teach disadvantaged youth to sail.
